Rich Media & Filters
Ember is mostly text, but when a moment calls for it, you can attach rich media. You can also filter your journal to find exactly what you're looking for.
Adding Images, Videos, and Voice
While writing an entry, you can drag and drop images or short videos directly into the editor. They will be saved securely within your Ember library.
- Images & Videos: Drag and drop, or use the attachment menu.
- Voice Recordings: Tap the microphone icon in the editor toolbar to record a quick audio note.
The Music Pill
Sometimes a song captures a memory better than words. The Music Pill lets you attach a track to an entry.
When you click the Music Pill icon, you can search Apple Music and embed a playable track directly above your writing.
Journal Filters & Multi-Journal
As your journal grows, filters help you find specific memories.
- Pinned Tags: Pin frequently used tags to the top of your journal for 1-click filtering.
- Multi-Journal: If you keep separate journals (e.g., Work and Personal), you can toggle between them or view them together.
- Attached Journal: When viewing a Person or a World, click "Show attached journal" to see only entries relevant to that context.
